The circular drive makes access simple to this well-presented two-story original beach house. The home has four bedrooms in total – including a self-contained section of the lower level with its own kitchenette and own front door, which could be perfect for airbnb. There is a second bedroom on this level, a large open living room, a spacious bathroom and laundry area with access to the backyard.
Wind your way up the spiral staircase to the funky upper level with open-plan living, dining and kitchen. This space is colourful and light and has inviting features throughout, including a wall of windows with views to the Southern Ocean, a balcony spanning the house width, and a Nectre firebox. There is a walk-in pantry, two further bedrooms and a bathroom on this level.
The garden has been well cared for and has surprises throughout. A jazzy outdoor shower is hidden behind slatted timber strips, there are raised garden beds, a garden shed and a larger workshop.
This house will colour your world – a very happy home with lots to offer anyone wishing to discover all there is to love about Skenes Creek. Lyndon Darling attended a building inspection on the 3/5/23 and found that there was no major works to be done and nothing had to be attended to. He did find that down the track the steel columns and the base plates will need to be sand blasted and rust neutralizer painted on them.
